Kelli Taylor, DVM

Dr. Kelli Taylor was born and raised in Auburn, WA with a love of horses that continues to draw her to them.  She has always been fascinated by animals and their ability to bestow unconditional kindness, generosity, and forgiveness upon humans.  She grew up with a variety of animals, everything from dogs and cats to lizards and even a scorpion, because her family would never turn away an animal in need.  When asked what she wanted to be when she grew up her response has always been: “A veterinarian!”

Having worked hard to realize her dream, Dr. Kelli is a 2008 summa cum laude graduate of Washington State University's College of Veterinary Medicine.  After vet school, she completed an internship in Equine Medicine and Surgery at Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital in Snohomish, WA and is very excited to be starting as the new equine associate at Evergreen Holistic Veterinary Care.

Dr. Kelli truly believes in a holistic approach to medicine.  She just received her international certification in animal chiropractic this summer and looks forward to continuing her studies of integrative medicine as a part of the Evergreen Holistic team.  She currently resides with her husband, cat and horse at their home in Monroe, WA.  When not working, you can find her trail riding or hiking with her husband in the great outdoors of the Pacific Northwest.

Dr. Kelli also enjoys working with companion goats, sheep, llamas and alpacas!

Hannah Evergreen, DVM

Dr. Hannah Evergreen is a 2004 graduate from Oregon State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. She has loved, cared for, ridden and trained horses for most of her life; horses are her passion. Before becoming a veterinarian, she gained experienced as a veterinary assistant and a farrier. After graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Hannah worked as an associate veterinarian, then started her own mobile practice based out of Monroe, WA in December of 2004.

With the start of her practice, she began the journey of discovering what taking a 'holistic' approach really means. Well on her way now, she has become certified in veterinary acupuncture (2005) and certified in animal chiropractic (2006). She is not yet sure what the future holds, likely more continuing education to expand her knowlege of other holistic modalities, such as herbology and physical therapy.

For Dr. Hannah, environmental and social stewardship are key to having a successful holistic veterinary practice. She has reduced her dependence on fossil fuels by using Biodiesel as much as possible to run her vet truck and routinely uses recyled paper products and tries to minimize medical wastes. She enjoys giving talks to local 4-H groups and other community organizations and supports approved local horse rescue groups with discounted veterinary services. She takes time to network with animal advocacy groups on important horse related issues such as ending horse slaughter and improving animal welfare.

On a more personal level, Dr. Hannah lives at her woodland farm in Monroe, Washington with her husband ( Dr. Brad Evergreen ) and her many dogs, cats and horses. She enjoys hiking, biking and of course, riding.

Matney Cook, Veterinary Assistant

After a childhood filled with 4-H competition, at the age of 20 Matney changed her outlook on working with horses from, "What can I get out of this horse?" to "What can I do for this horse?" With that shift she has come to many realizations including how deeply involved horses are with her personal and spiritual growth and healing. For the past 3 years she has worked side by side with her mother Terri Cook (who introduced her to natural horsemanship via Ken McNabb) training horses and giving lessons under the name of TLC Training.
